Rossville Schools and Gaggle today launched a new initiative to keep students and schools safe by providing a simple way for students to easily and confidentially report threats of violence, bullying, peers in crisis, and other imminent threats via the SpeakUp for Safety tipline.

Rossville Schools and Gaggle today launched a new initiative to keep students and schools safe by providing a simple way for students to easily and confidentially report threats of violence, bullying, peers in crisis, and other imminent threats via the SpeakUp for Safety tipline.

Trained Gaggle safety representatives evaluate SpeakUp for Safety tips 24/7/365 and send an email regarding non-life-threatening items to designated school or district staff members. In severe situations, district-appointed contacts are notified immediately. In the most imminent cases, Gaggle will contact law enforcement to intervene if they are unable to notify a district-appointed contact.

The Gaggle SpeakUp for Safety tipline integrates directly with G Suite for Education from Google, which students already have access to on a daily basis. There’s no need for students to download a mobile app or remember a phone number—the SpeakUp for Safety instant replies include a phone number that students can use for text messages or phone calls.

It's already time to start thinking about the 2021-2022 school year!  Letters and emails have gone out announcing that our 21-22 online registration process is now open.  This notification notice contains the required SnapCode to proceed with online registration.  You will need a code for every student that you wish to enroll.  We are asking that you complete this process by July 31, 2021.  This process is required as it also includes the required sign-offs for the handbooks, policies, and other documents that we need to have file for your student.

For those without internet access, we will have an in-person registration event on July 27th and 28th.  This will take place from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and then 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.  and it will take place in the Flex Space.  Please enter door E5 and head up to the elementary office.  We will have staff available to assist with the forms and textbook rental payments.  If you have any questions, please let us know!

Our Class of 2021 Commencement Ceremony will be held in the main gym on June 6, 2021.  It will start at 2:00 p.m.  and we do ask that you wear a mask during the ceremony.

The ceremony will also be livestreamed on hoosierlandtv.com and we will make our best effort to deliver the complete ceremony.  The ceremony will also feature music from our choirs and bands.  The seating on the floor will be limited this year, but the bleachers will be wide open to accommodate everyone that wants to come out.  Parking will be first come first serve.

Thank you for being patient with us as we navigated this unusual year!
